Victorian Bath

The owners of a beautifully preserved Neo-Grec townhouse in Park Slope, Brooklyn, needed to add a second bathroom. The interior of the house retains almost all of its original wonderful detail, and the owners love the Islamic influences that run through the Victorain era of the house’s construction: this new work strives to fit seamlessly into the existing house and heighten the Eastern flavors that the owners love. A new shower is fit into an existing skylight toilet closet to create the experience of stepping into a “grotto” or lighthaft to bathe.
